Antisemitic incident in Vienna:
A woman attacked a Jewish rabbi in the Austrian capital, tore off the cap he was wearing and waved a knife at her while chanting antisemitic chants, Vienna police reported today (Friday).
According to the report, the woman, about 50 years old, according to eyewitnesses, approached the rabbi, pulled the knife out of her handbag - and kicked him in the leg.
Later, the central Jewish organization in Vienna told the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation, she shouted at the rabbi: "Slaughter all the Jews."
The woman escaped and the Austrian police began searches.
The Austrian interior minister said police were investigating the incident among other things as a terrorist incident.
The rabbi was not injured.
