The outgoing US President Donald Trump said that the electoral college vote for Democratic President-elect Joe Biden is his only condition for leaving the White House, saying at the same time that "it would be a mistake."
In response to a question about whether he would leave the White House if Biden’s victory was approved by the Electoral College, Trump said during a media briefing yesterday, according to what was quoted by Agence France-Presse: “I will definitely do so ... and you know that.”
Trump returned to his previous tone of rigging the elections and posted a tweet on his Twitter account, in which he said: "The American elections are 100 percent rigged," adding, "Joe Biden's 80 million votes in the recent US elections is completely unlikely."
Trump has refused to concede election defeat and has repeatedly announced that he intends to reverse the results by filing judicial appeals, even though no evidence of widespread fraud may have marred the election.
The American judiciary dealt several blows to Trump by rejecting the lawsuits filed by his election campaign in more than one state in an attempt to question the integrity of the elections and turn the results in his favor.
