You, dear readers, can make a wish come true.

Today: playing the harp or zither.

Taufkirchen

- When Regina Vornehm remembers a very special Christmas, she thinks with a smile of the first year with her husband.

The two had just become parents and hadn't managed to get a tree.

“The farmer didn't have any more in the forest,” says the 71-year-old.

Nevertheless, the young family did not want to celebrate without a Christmas tree.

She didn't have to either.

Because the young father was a smart man, unceremoniously bored holes in a broomstick and stuck branches into them.

“That looked very strange,” Regina Vornehm recalls.

Nevertheless, the young family celebrated an impressive party under the broom tree - the first Christmas for three.

Regina Vornehm still loves the Christmas season, the placeholes, the atmosphere, the candles, the jewelry, being with the family - and the festive music.

She especially likes to hear the sound of the harp.

"This is a noble instrument, so special and festive and unfortunately rarely heard," says Regina Vornehm.

The harp reminds her of angel music in church at Christmas.

A sore thumb in Taufkirchen

The genuine Münchner Kindl is something of a sore thumb in Taufkirchen.

Here, where she has lived for 50 years, Regina Vornehm has lovingly accompanied many generations of Taufkirchen residents as they grew up.

She first worked as an educator and later for 23 years as the daycare manager in the town.

To South Tyrol again, if your body allows it

If her own body didn't set any limits for her and she had one wish, Regina Vornehm would like to travel to South Tyrol again to go hiking.

The landscape there, especially in the chestnut season, has done the elderly lady.

But unfortunately she will no longer be able to fulfill this wish, health no longer allows such a trip.

For a year now, Regina Vornehm has been regularly taking part in day care for people in need of care and people with dementia at the Taufkirchen neighborhood help.

Regina Vornehm's second wish is related to this establishment.

A house concert with harp or zither

She would like to experience a wonderful hour of music and share it with the other carers.

Regina Vornehm would like a musician to visit the neighborhood help, preferably a harp player, or even a zither player.

A house concert as soon as the contact restrictions make it possible again.

Perhaps someone can be found who can fulfill this wish for Regina Noble and her fellow carers as part of the Merkur Christmas campaign.
