Romain Grosjean is doing well, thank you for him.
The French pilot gives his news in a video relayed by his team, Haas (see tweet below).
Smiling, he speaks from his hospital bed, with impressive bandages on both hands.
"Hi everyone.
I just wanted to say I'm fine.
Almost good (smile).
Thank you for your messages.
I was not in favor of the halo a few years ago (a device that has been protecting the heads of pilots since 2018, note).
But without that, I couldn't talk to you right now, ”he breathes, miraculously.
Grosjean, 34, was the victim of a terrible accident this Sunday, during the Bahrain Grand Prix.
If his car caught fire after being cut in half, he only got away with burns to his hands.
An update from Romain himself.
Pleased to see you're in good spirits!
We hope you make a speedy recovery pic.twitter.com/njnjjH4GBi
