Nicolas Batum and the Hornets, it's over.
The Charlotte club formalizes the departure of the 31-year-old French international winger, released from his last year of contract and whose salary ($ 27.1 million) will be matched in his accounts over the next three years.
His next destination?
It is already no longer a mystery.
According to Shams Charania of
The Athletic
and
Stadium
, “Batman” will join one of the favorites for the title in 2021, the Los Angeles Clippers.
He will notably team up with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, or even the Spanish international Serge Ibaka.
Very little used last season (22 games, including none after January 24), Batum has averaged 11.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.8 career assists, with Portland and Charlotte (789 games).
