The Italian Ministry of Health announced the registration of 20,648 new infections and 541 deaths from the Coronavirus during the past twenty-four hours.
Reuters quoted the ministry as saying in its daily report that the total number of Coronavirus infections reached 1585,178, while the number of deaths reached 54,904 cases, while the total number of people recovered reached 734,503.
Italy was the first western country in which Corona appeared and ranked eighth in the world among the countries most affected by the virus in terms of the number of infections and deaths.
