Washington-SANA

Former CIA Director John Brennan described the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhryzadeh as "a very criminal and reckless act" and a flagrant violation of international law.

Brennan warned in his tweets on Twitter that the assassination of Fakhrizadeh "may cause acts of revenge and a new phase of regional conflict."

The American newspaper "New York Times" revealed that three American officials stated that "Israel" was behind the assassination of the Iranian scientist, while Iran announced that the involvement of the American and Israeli hand and its terrorist operatives was clear in his assassination, affirming that it reserves its right to respond to this crime.

Earlier today, the Ministry of Defense and the Assignment of the Iranian Armed Forces announced the assassination of the scientist Fakhrizadeh, following a terrorist attack near the capital, Tehran.
