Baghdad - Sana
Today, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the murder of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhryzadeh, stressing that this act is not in the interest of stability in the region.
The Iraqi News Agency quoted the ministry’s spokesman, Ahmad Al-Sahaf, as saying in a statement: “Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein made a phone call with his Iranian counterpart, Muhammad Javad Zarif, expressing his condolences for the assassination of Fakhry Zadeh,” expressing his “condemnation of these actions that do not contribute to supporting stability.”
He indicated that the two sides also discussed developments in the region and its implications for regional and international security.
The Ministry of Defense and the Assignment of the Iranian Armed Forces announced the day before yesterday the assassination of Fakhryzadeh, following a terrorist operation that was exposed near Tehran.
