Mohsin Fahrizda, who was shot dead today (Friday) at his car in Tehran, was the mastermind behind the Iranian nuclear program, dating back to the early 1990s, and was marked by Western intelligence agencies, the Security Council - and Forbes magazine.
Muhsan, 61, began his career in Iran's military nuclear program in 1990, when the following year he received a professorship and was added as a member of the Scientific Council of the College of Physics at Imam Hussein University in Tehran.
Over the years he has become a world-renowned expert in nuclear physics and headed the Center for Modern Defense Preparedness and Technologies in the Iranian Ministry of Defense.
But apart from his academic career, Fahrizda was also a member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, and, as mentioned, engaged in Iran's military nuclear project, Imad, all while continuing to teach at the university.
At one point, Fahrizada even headed the Iranian nuclear project, following his status he was even mentioned in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech regarding the Iranian nuclear program - the only scientist whose name was mentioned at the event.

"Fah Fahrizadeh's directive was to announce the closure of Iran's nuclear program.
"Along with this directive, he added a provision called 'special activities' - meaning that the Iranians will continue to develop the nuclear program under the heading of 'developing scientific knowledge', and that is exactly what Iran continued to do," Netanyahu pointed to the senior role of the scientist eliminated.
"Iran has continued this work through a number of organizations over the years, and today this work is carried out by the SPND, it is an organization within the Iranian Ministry of Defense. You will not be surprised to hear that it is run by the same person who headed the Imad project, Fahrizda and of course, not by chance. Many of the key people in the SPND worked under him on the Imad project. "
At the end of his speech, Netanyahu stressed the importance of Fahrizada, saying: "Remember his name."
Fahrizda's status has made him a strong man, even appearing on Forbes magazine's list of the 500 most powerful people in the world, one of only five Iranians on that list, but he has also been the target of assassination attempts and sanctions around the world and the UN Security Council since 2007.
The sanctions imposed on Iran during the tenure of US President Donald Trump after the withdrawal from the nuclear deal may be lifted in the coming years, but the Iranian regime's Pharisees will no longer be able to respond.
