Trump: If voters vote for Biden - I will leave the White House (Photo: Reuters)

US President Donald Trump today (Sunday) reiterated his baseless allegations of election fraud, in a first television interview in which he signaled that he does not intend to admit the loss to Joe Biden even after the end of the legal proceedings.

"It's not going to change my mind. My mind will not change in half a year," he said in a phone interview with Fox Network presenter Maria Bartiromo, who did not make it difficult for him and let him speak for 45 minutes almost freely.

"The election was fake. The election was a complete scam. We won the election easily."

Despite the U.S. president's unprecedented attack on his country's election campaign, his legal team has suffered heavy defeats in the courts, most recently by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, which has rejected a petition designed to prevent Biden's victory in the country.

In Wisconsin, a partial recount sought by the Trump campaign, paid for by $ 3 million in donations from supporters, ended today - with Biden only increasing his lead by a few dozen votes and a total of more than 20,000.

"We're trying to present evidence and the judges are not allowing us to," Trump said in an interview with Fox.

"We're trying. We have so much evidence."

The president even complained that the Justice Department and the FBI were not helping him, contrary to any democratic principle of separation of powers.

"They're gone," Trump said, wondering why the Supreme Court did not intervene.

According to Trump, "The Supreme Court must hear us. Something must be able to get there. Otherwise, what is the Supreme Court?" Asked the Republican president, who appointed three conservative judges during his tenure and said during the election campaign that he believes they will reach the doorstep. The trial.

Despite Trump's claims, the race was not particularly close.

Biden won 306 electors compared to Trump's 232 - Trump's gap over Hillary Clinton in 2016, which his camp called a "sweeping victory" - and more than six million votes.

While these do not determine the race in the American system, the large difference between the candidates - 51 vs. 47 percent - is also of political and symbolic importance.

More and more Republicans have been recognizing or approaching Biden's victory in recent days, despite fears of political repercussions in light of the huge support Trump enjoys among party voters.

The transfer of power officially began last week after a two-week delay by the administration, and on December 14, the electorate is scheduled to meet and officially confirm the election results.

Republican Sen. Roy Blunt, who heads the congressional inauguration committee, said today that its members estimate that Biden will be sworn in as the 46th president of the United States on January 20.

"We are working with the Biden administration, the expected administration, on the transfer of power and swearing in assuming we go forward," Blunt told CNN, though he did not officially acknowledge Trump's loss.

Arkansas Republican Gov. Asa Hutchison is one of the few in the party to refer to Biden as president-elect.

"The transfer of power is important. Trump's words have no real meaning," he told Fox.

Either way, for the inauguration ceremony, which will be smaller than usual due to the corona plague, Trump is not expected to attend.

According to reports in the United States, he may announce his intention to run for president in 2024 on the same day.

Trump, the first president to lose after one term since George W. Bush Sr. in 1992, may run for a second term again.

"I'm not going to name a date," Trump said when asked in an interview if he sees a date when his unsuccessful legal battle will end.

When asked if he sees a way to victory, he replied, "I hope so."

It is unclear what, if any, petition the Trump legal campaign planner, led by his private lawyer Rudy Giuliani, is planning to file in the Supreme Court.

Jessica Levinson, a law professor from Los Angeles, said the Supreme Court in any case was not expected to skew the election in favor of Trump, and she said he seems to be starting to recognize reality at last.

"The Supreme Court has nothing to decide," she said.
