The United Arab Emirates tonight (Sunday) condemned the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Muhsin Fahrizda.

A statement from the official news agency said that "all parties must exercise restraint."

In Iran, Israel has been accused of assassination.

Intelligence sources also told the New York Times over the weekend that Israel was behind the assassination.

According to the UAE statement: "This is an action that could lead to a flare-up and instability in the region. All parties must exercise restraint and moderation."

Earlier, the Iranian intelligence ministry said its men had uncovered evidence and clues as to the identities of the assassins of Iranian nuclear program chief Muhsin Fahrizadeh, the Iranian news agency Tassanim reported. The assassination occurred on Friday in the capital Tehran.
