The Erding district is firmly under control of the corona pandemic.

The health department reported 104 new infections on Monday.

Many of them in old people's and nursing homes.

Erding -

The district of Erding in the greater Munich area is now in first place for new corona infections.

Even Rosenheim as a persistent pandemic hotspot has been overtaken.

The health department reported on Monday of 104 new infections, the second highest daily value for months.

The seven-day incidence rises to 297 new infections, based on a week and 100,000 inhabitants - and that on the day on which Lockdown II should actually have ended.

The worrying: The virus is still spreading at high speed in old people's and nursing homes (see report above).

The coordination group in the district office determined on Monday that the schools will not have to switch to alternating classes from Tuesday, but probably from Monday, December 7th.

The final decision should be made this Thursday.

However, some schools are now teaching in smaller groups in order to be able to maintain the minimum distances, such as the Heilig Blut girls' secondary school in Erding.

In the middle schools, the distances can be kept consistently, says district office spokeswoman Daniela Fritzen.

Remarkable: According to Fritzen, almost all directors have spoken out in favor of starting alternate classes only after the Christmas break.

To make matters worse, the legal basis for this decision, the 9th Bavarian Infection Protection Ordinance, is not yet available.

A total of 2518 infections have been detected since March, but the number of those recovered also rose very significantly over the weekend by 150 to 2012. As a result, 488 district citizens are currently infected, compared to 533 on Friday.

27 Covid 19 patients are currently being treated at the Erding Clinic, as many as on Friday.

Six people need intensive care, three are on the ventilator.

Due to the high number of cases in nursing homes, however, the hospital must expect a significantly increasing number of Sars-CoV-2 patients.

Because of the outbreaks in homes, intensive testing was carried out over the weekend.

909 smears were taken.

There are now a total of 21,636.

After positive tests, the health department had to again quarantine several educational institutions: the Herzog-Tassilo-Realschule (30 students / 1 teacher), Middle School Dorfen (11/1), Realschule Taufkirchen (28), Middle School Taufkirchen (12/2) and Girls Realschule Holy Blood (29).

The new cases come from: Hohenpolding (30), Erding (22), Dorfen (21), Steinkirchen (8), Taufkirchen (6), Isen, St. Wolfgang (3 each), Inning am Holz, Kirchberg, Lengdorf, Fraunberg (2 each), Moosinning, Oberding, Ottenhofen (1 each).
