Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced this Sunday, November 30, the lifting of the curfew imposed because of the Covid-19 epidemic in the border towns of Colombia and Brazil and the relaxation of restrictions in December.

Since June, Maduro has applied a device that he qualifies as “7 + 7”: seven days of
“radical”
confinement
with the closure of non-essential businesses alternate with seven days of
“flexibility”

Venezuela is holding legislative elections next Sunday and in recent days the candidates have organized massive rallies in which social distancing has not been respected, and many participants have not worn the mask, however mandatory.

Nicolas Maduro also announced the lifting of the curfew from Monday in the border municipalities of Colombia and Brazil.
“We are maintaining epidemiological surveillance, security measures, prevention and care.
We keep our arms open for all the migrants who arrive, we maintain preventive health measures, detection and quarantine for those who arrive ”
, assured President Maduro.
In the past 24 hours, Venezuela has recorded 280 new cases of Covid-19 for two deaths, according to official figures, a toll whose veracity is questioned by the opposition and specialized NGOs.
