The governorate of Aleppo began distributing monthly fuel cards to micro-bus drivers of small and large buses operating on all lines in the city in addition to the lines that connect the city to the countryside, as the number of organized cards granted to drivers reached 400 cards out of 4,500 cards that were prepared to be delivered to bus owners and drivers whose vehicles are registered with the Transportation Directorate In Aleppo and the Land Transport Syndicate.
Ahmed Ibrahim, head of the Land Transport Workers Union of the Aleppo Governorate Workers Union, explained in a statement to SANA's correspondent that three centers have been prepared to grant and distribute cards to drivers of micro-buses, which can accommodate 14 and 24 passengers, and internal transport buses associated with investment contracts with the first city council in the Cordoba starting center for lines. Al-Gharbia in the Society of Engineers neighborhood, the second in the eastern starting center in Al-Shaar neighborhood for eastern lines, and the third in the unified departure center in the Bab Jenin area for lines operating in the city center.
Ibrahim called on drivers to speed up the receipt of their monthly cards allocated according to the lines on which their mechanisms are registered, to avoid penalties.
The Governorate's Joint Passenger Transport Subcommittee decided in its last meeting to approve the monthly fuel card and issue it from the Transportation Directorate and the Land Transport Workers Union and hand it over to assets to drivers of small and large micro-buses. With the subsidized materials, the necessary rationing controls will be regulated in accordance with Law 14 of 2015 by referring to the judiciary present and seizing the vehicle and a fine of one million Syrian pounds. I also decided to grant a deadline for drivers up to 12-15-2020 to approve the aforementioned card under the penalty of stopping the electronic card belonging to these vehicles.
