The high-end brand of PSA would have done well.

The DS9, its flagship, will not arrive on our roads before September 2021. Or more than a year behind the initial schedule.

Produced in China, the great road DS9 suffered a series of setbacks attributable as much to a difficult gestation as to the health crisis which brought the production lines to a halt, to the decision of the PSA group to withdraw from the joint. venture with Chinese Changan and sell its shares in the Shenzhen plant to the Baoneng group.

If the first copies of the DS9 will invest the French dealerships next spring, we will have to wait until the start of the 2021 school year to come across this great DS in the street.

In the meantime, the manufacturer has just announced the opening of orders for a range made up of three gasoline models including two plug-in hybrids: Pure Tech 225 hp, E-Tense 225 hp and E-Tense 360 hp.

This latest version will share its technology with the Peugeot 508 PSE launched next spring.

Developed by the Peugeot Sport division, this version combines the 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine with two electric motors to deliver 360 horsepower to all four wheels.

DS Style

While the entry-level version starts at 47,700 euros, the DS9 can approach 80,000 euros with the 360 hp model associated with the Rivoli finish and equipped with all the options.

With this version, DS should announce CO2 emissions of less than 50 g / km and an electric range of nearly 45 km.
