The European Commission announced that the Turkish regime's withdrawal of the exploration vessel from the eastern Mediterranean will not change the expectations of the European Union regarding the behavior of this system.
According to the Russia Today website, the UNHCR spokesperson for foreign affairs, Peter Stano, said in a press statement today about the departure of the Turkish ship .. “European leaders were clear about what our expectations are and they will discuss in their next meeting whether the expectations of Turkey are met.” Adding .. “Adopting one declaration Or one behavior will not change that, but we will build on the general behavior of Turkey. ”
The European Union's Foreign Affairs Coordinator, Joseph Borrell, confirmed earlier that the Turkish regime’s actions in the Eastern Mediterranean region keep it away from joining the European Union, against the backdrop of Ankara’s announcement of continuing exploration in that region.
Seven member states of the European Union bordering the Mediterranean announced last September, in a joint statement, their readiness to support the imposition of sanctions on Turkey if it did not stop its provocations against Greece and Cyprus, at a time when the Turkish regime continues its provocations against neighboring countries in pursuit of its expansion plans and ambitions.
