Christmas mood in Dorfen despite Corona.
Dorfen - For the third time, after 2000 and 2002, there is a beautiful crib path in the center of the village.
The parish of Dorfen, with the support of the Förderkreis Dorfen, has put this beautiful action together in spite of Corona.
Over 80 nativity scenes at 57 locations can be admired in the shop windows of the inner city shops.
There is also a star competition from the sponsorship group.
Mayor Heinz Grundner was delighted at the opening that the Krippenweg was taken up again this year was “a great event”.
This will bring “at least a little bit of a Christmas atmosphere into the city, if the traditional Christmas market is not allowed”.
In addition to getting in the mood for Christmas, this should also bring people into the city center.
The city chief thanks everyone involved from the parish, the sponsorship group and the businesses who are participating.

Those who go on a tour of the city center on the Krippenweg will certainly not be disappointed, said the parish council chairman Wolfgang Lanzinger.
Over 60 cribs in very different shapes and sizes can be seen, made of different materials with figures made of wood, clay, cardboard or straw.
In the parish, one thinks "constantly that we should go out as a church and provide a little animation in the corona lockdown".
That is "now exactly the right action".
A crib path should be, “is a nice enrichment and a Christian accent is set”.
"I think it's a great campaign, I'm incredibly thrilled that we have so many cribs and so many shop windows," said the chairman of the support group, Stefan Tremmel.
This means that people in the city can take a wonderful circular route instead of the Christmas market.
The support group contributes a competition.
If you look closely, you can discover “golden stars” in the more than 60 cribs.
So look carefully into the shop windows while strolling through the city center, discover the stars and add them all up, advises Tremmel.
The correct number of stars must be reported by December 31st, either online at www.dorfen.de or www.foerderkreis-dorfen.de, or by email to stadtmarketing@dorfen.de.
The support group is giving away a total of 30 Dorfen vouchers worth ten euros each among all participants.
