The death of Yonatan Halo, whose body was found today (Monday) at the beach, raises many questions about the rehabilitation he needed.

Sapir Slutzker Amran of the Breaking Walls movement, which was close to Halo and one of the leaders in the struggle for his release, said he had never received "real treatment that dealt with trauma and sexual assault."

Abigail Frenkel, a social worker and sexual trauma specialist, also said appropriate treatment could have been significant in Halo's rehabilitation.

Frenkel stressed there is a wide range of types of vulnerability, noting that "in Halo's case it was very aggressive and humiliating and prolonged.
