that the jurors of the Renaudot Prize awarded yesterday, declared Dominique Bona, who spoke on their behalf and then explained very well why their choice naturally fell on Marie-Hélène Lafon:
"It is a strong voice, rooted in the territories of which she knows how to speak so well, a voice faithful to her own, which moved and touched us."
By awarding its prize to such an esteemed and indisputable author, who stands apart from the Parisian literary court, the Renaudot jury cuts short the accusations to which he was the subject after the award of their essay prize. to Gabriel Matzneff in 2013 and to the sensational resignation of Jérôme Garcin last year.
