During this period, the Likud was embarrassed by votes in the plenum and committees, both following the political confrontations with Blue and White, and also due to the lack of coalition discipline of some Knesset members.
For example, the opposition managed to approve the establishment of a parliamentary inquiry committee into the submarine affair about a month ago, a vote that was later canceled by Knesset Speaker Yariv Levin. In another case, the plenum did not convene before the summer recess to vote on transferring NIS 1.75 billion. Only because no majority was obtained for this vote.
In addition, the coalition recently faced difficulty in disciplining unruly MKs. An example of this occurred about a month ago, when MK Eitan Gisenburg (blue and white) voted in favor of a bill by MK Yurai Lahav Mish Atid. In official forms, "parent 1" and "parent 2" will be written instead of "parent" and "mother", contrary to coalition discipline.
