Two clinics share a waiting room

The Department of Health said today (30th) that a confirmed patient had visited the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Clinic of Eastern Hospital.

As the clinic shares a waiting room with the Chai Wan Government Dental Clinic, based on public health considerations, the two clinics will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected tomorrow (December 1).

Appointment services for oral and maxillofacial surgery and dental clinics will be suspended, and Chai Wan Government Dental Clinic will be closed.

The clinic staff will contact those who have made an appointment to make another service arrangement.

The patient involved went to the relevant oral and maxillofacial surgery and dental clinics for treatment on the 26th of this month. He had been wearing a mask during the waiting period, and was subsequently diagnosed on the 28th.

Medical staff on duty at that time had to wear masks and be equipped with appropriate protective equipment.

At present, the staff of the two clinics have no symptoms or confirmed cases.

In response to the epidemic, all personnel must undergo temperature testing and health declarations when entering the clinic.

During the epidemic, dental services have been strictly implementing various epidemic prevention measures, including providing masks and other protective equipment for subordinates, and strengthening the cleaning and disinfection of clinics.

All employees wear masks at work and always pay attention to hand hygiene.

A confirmed case had visited the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Clinic of Eastern Hospital.
