Under the new crown pneumonia epidemic, many citizens will camp out in the suburbs during holidays. In addition to taking away rubbish, it is also important to choose a camping location correctly.

The Hong Kong Mountain Arts Association posted a photo on Facebook yesterday (29th), saying that some citizens have camped on the helipad recently, which may hinder the rescue operation of the flight service team. It described the behavior as illegal, incorrect and unsafe, like " Three kills."

The mountain art instructor of the association said that problems have been seen for many years and appealed to the public to choose legal camps and treat the camp environment well.

The camp has a chance to be rolled up by a helicopter

The Hong Kong Mountain Arts Association stated in a post yesterday that it had received photos earlier and saw that some campers chose a helipad with flat ground, close to toilets and nice views to camp.

However, the association pointed out that the first requirement for choosing a location should be to camp legally, correctly and safely.

The post pointed out that if mountain friends encounter rescue by the flight service team during hiking, they should be careful not to hinder the rescue. If camping on the heliport, except for the wind of the blades when the helicopter descends, the camp can be uprooted. The camp is more likely to be rolled up by a helicopter and cause serious accidents.

The association also reminded that if someone needs rescue by the flight service team nearby, the campers must clean up before letting the helicopter land. The prime time for rescue will be wasted.

Liang Zihao reminded campers to learn to take into account the feelings of other users and remember the principle of "Leave no trace" (Leave no trace).

Promote Hong Kong people to "leave no traces in the mountains" when going outing

Sunny Leung, the founder and head coach of the Hong Kong Mountain Arts Association, pointed out that the people concerned may "intentionally" camp on the helipad for safety issues. The photos were released only to remind the public. The original intention was not to criticize; Leung also refused to disclose the exact location while the people in the middle were covered, only that the public helipads were located within the country park.

He also pointed out that problems have always occurred in the past, and under the epidemic, Hong Kong people love to go to the suburbs for fixed-point camping. He thinks it is all right to "shake your breath", but campers need to learn to take into account the feelings of other users and be careful. Remember the principle of "Leave no trace" (Leave no trace), "Sing and watch the drama at midnight, drink drunk and yell, etc., other people originally went camping to enjoy the tranquility of nature, but they were destroyed. If you bring it into the mountain, you have to take it back and go. It’s best if the place you use up looks like you haven’t passed.”

In addition, Liang also believes that whether the government should completely close the camps is open to question. "Opening up the camps, controlling the number of people and sending people to inspect is actually possible? If you go to the sundeck, people will go to the camp without knowing that they can camp. Locally, even if the AFCD goes down and up the mountain to enforce the law, there are actually difficulties."

Hong Kong 01 is making inquiries with the Civil Aviation Department about the incident. According to the Country Parks and Special Areas Regulations (Chapter 208A), no one is allowed to camp or set up camps in country parks unless they are in designated camping sites. Sentenced to a fine of $2,000 and imprisonment for 3 months.
