Jonas Kaufmann cancels his European Christmas tour because of the health crisis.
It was to take place from December 6 to 22 and stop in Paris, Vienna, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Mannheim and Hanover.
The German tenor was to take the opportunity to perform songs from
It's Christmas,
his latest album, released this fall.
The postponement to December 15 of the opening of theaters in France was right when he came to the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées on December 6 where he was to perform lieder by Franz Schubert and Robert Schumann, accompanied by the pianist Carrie-Ann Matheson.
The new date for the recital has not yet been determined.

as part of the
Ring
, initially offered by the Opéra Bastille in a concert version from November 23 to December 6.
