The heirs of the Swedish Ikea furniture company remain the richest residents of Switzerland.
Mathias, Jonas
and
Peter Kamprad
, the sons of Ikea founder
Ingvar Kamprad
,
who died in 2018,
top the list of the Swiss magazine "Bilanz" with a total of around 55 billion francs, the equivalent of almost 51 billion euros.
This is followed by the heirs of the pharmaceutical company Roche, the
Hoffmann
and
Oeri families
with around 29 billion francs (26.8 billion euros).
In third place is the French
Gérard Wertheimer
(70), co-owner of the fashion label Chanel, with around 23 billion euros in assets.
This means that the richest residents of Switzerland have significantly more assets than the richest Germans.
The ranking of manager magazin is headed by the Reimann families (32 billion euros), Lidl owner
Dieter Schwarz
(81) with 30 billion euros and the BMW heirs
Susanne Klatten
(58) and
Stefan Quandt
(54) with around 25 billion euros .
The list includes the largest assets of German citizens, whereas the place of residence is decisive for the federal list.
However, top German assets are more widely distributed.
The 300 richest inhabitants of Switzerland have a total of 707 billion francs - the equivalent of a good 650 billion euros.
The 300 richest Germans together come to 812 billion euros.
Germany has almost ten times as many inhabitants as Switzerland.
