The accelerated procedure was decided for a bill "aimed at reforming adoption" tabled by the LREM group.
There will therefore only be one debate per chamber.
This bill will be discussed on December 2 in a public session in the Assembly, without having been the subject of in-depth consultations or serious legislative work.
However, its consequences are considerable.
And the government, realizing that the text is very poorly drafted and lacking an overall vision, has already introduced an amendment enabling it to complete this future law by ordinance.
“Giving a family to a child”, an objective declared by the authors of the bill, is the very vocation of associations of adoptive families and Authorized adoption organizations (OAA).
The oldest of them has been doing it for nearly a hundred years, which makes them legitimate - after having encouraged more than 100,000 adoptions since 1921 - to decipher this text.
