Arizona authorities officially certified Joe Biden's victory on Monday, almost a month after the United States presidential elections.

The confirmation of the victory of the Democrat, by just over 10,000 votes, in this southern state where Donald Trump prevailed four years ago further reduces Donald Trump's already practically null options to reverse a resounding defeat that the president, in a way unusual, not yet recognized.

Wisconsin is also expected to certify Biden's victory this Monday, as announced by the president of the state electoral board.

Under normal conditions, the official certification of the results by the States constitutes a mere procedure, since the forecast of the news agencies, newspapers and television networks is considered good, which proclaim a winner in each territory when their Models indicate that the advance of the scrutiny mathematically sentences a result.

But in this case, in the states where the November 3 contest was more disputed, these procedures are surrounded by expectation as the accusations of massive fraud in the count by the president have generated unfounded expectations among his followers.

Different polls carried out in recent weeks reveal that between 70% and 80% of Republican voters say they do not believe that Biden won the elections legally.

President Trump and his entourage through Twitter, his legal team led by Rudy Giuliani, as well as a number of conservative media, have been feeding and amplifying unfounded conspiracy theories for weeks and making their audiences believe that the Republican could still prevail in States like Wisconsin, Arizona and Georgia, in an election that lost by more than six million ballots and 74 votes in the electoral college.

The president's campaign had asked to repeat the ballots in various counties of Wisconsin, just as it forced the votes in Georgia to be counted three times, without the result of the same changing the sign of the contest.

But Trump, despite the fact that he has already allowed the procedures for the transition of powers to proceed, does not give up the battle for lost.

On December 14, the electoral college meets, a formal conclave in which the representatives of the States cast their vote according to the results in their territories, and the president still seems to hope to subvert the process, putting pressure on the legislatures of the States to send representatives to vote for him, ignoring the meaning of the popular vote, something prohibited by state laws.

Trump's lawyers have also assured that they will continue to fight in the courts, despite the fact that to date they have reaped nothing but failure and ridicule in their attempts to prove electoral fraud.
