The Iraqi forces announced today the launch of a security operation to pursue the remnants of ISIS terrorists in the northeastern Diyala province, in the east of the country.
Alsumaria News quoted the Popular Mobilization Media as saying in a statement that "the first brigade in the crowd has embarked on a security operation to track down ISIS remnants in the areas north of Khanaqin, Ali Al-Saadoun and Ahmed Hilal, in the northeast of Diyala province."
The statement added, "The operation aims to enhance security and stability, destroy terrorist hideouts, arrest wanted persons and hand them over to justice."
The Iraqi forces launched a military operation the day before yesterday to pursue the remnants of ISIS terrorists in Anbar, in the west of the country.
