A leaked European Union document revealed that Brussels is preparing a plan to punish Britain if it refuses to sign new EU laws during the transitional period to exit from the bloc.

The Daily Express reported in its issue issued today that under this plan, the Union strips the United Kingdom of its right to challenge decisions made by EU judges in the European Court of Justice and to prevent it from accessing the European single market.

The plan revealed that the European Union is concerned that Britain might violate European law during the transitional period in addition to the fear that the United Kingdom will be able to veto the law before the European Court of Justice and wait two years by initiating a lengthy legal challenge in the court based in Luxembourg. .

To stem this fear, Brussels wants to create a way to punish Britain by depriving important and profitable sectors of the economy of the ability to access the common market.

"In addition, the governance and dispute settlement section of the withdrawal agreement should provide for a mechanism that allows the union to suspend some of the benefits accruing to the United Kingdom from participating in the internal market," the leaked document states.

Despite the uproar from "Brexit" supporters, the United Kingdom, under the Brexit agreement between the European Union and the United Kingdom, is still bound by union law during the transitional period.

Last September, a leaked document revealed that the European Union's confidence in British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had declined.

The dispute over plans that could undermine the legal force of parts of the protocol on Northern Ireland comes at a time when the leaked cables revealed the growing suspicion in Brussels about Britain's motives and strategy.

The cables sent to European Union capitals from Brussels suspect Johnson has declined to compromise on major pending issues related to fisheries, state aid and conflict resolution with the aim of bartering at the last minute.

Officials in the senior team of "Brexit" negotiators Michel Barnier described this strategy as "worrying given the complexity of the issues" and a commission official told European Union diplomats that it would not be easy to settle these points with just a phone call between the leaders.

The United Kingdom has recently been accused of introducing a new concept in negotiations over access to British waters for European fishing fleets, allowing British fishermen to get the largest share.

The United Kingdom formally left the union on the 31st of last January, after nearly four years of a historic referendum that marked the end of about fifty years of membership in the bloc, but European rules are still applied in the Kingdom until December 31, at a time when the two parties are trying to reach a free trade agreement. .
