Legalize it: Companies have been investing in large-scale cannabis cultivation since 2017 because they believe there is a growing need in the healthcare industry - and are betting that the cultivation and sale of the plant will be legalized in more and more countries.

Big players like Canopy Growth or Aurora from Canada have already gone public and intoxicated investors: Although the cannabis boom has lost momentum in recent months due to initial overcapacities, various start-ups from Germany are also relying on the legal and controlled use of cannabis and cannabis products will also enforce in this country.

This includes the Sanity Croup: The Berlin start-up has now completed another financing round worth four million euros, the total investment by risk investors has risen to around 25 million euros.

Just as important as the fresh money for Sanity: In addition to Bitburger Ventures' entry as an investor, the group also receives support from numerous celebrities.

This is definitely helpful for a provider of a lifestyle product: Among others, the US music producer Will i am, TV presenter Klaas Heufer-Umlauf, professional soccer player Mario Götze, ex-soccer player Dennis Aogo, the German one in the latest financing round Top model Stefanie Giesinger and Bitburger Ventures have joined the company as new partners.

Friedrich Droste, Managing Director at Bitburger Ventures, sees the opportunity to participate in a promising innovation market with the investment.

Songwriter Will i am uses this opportunity to come out as a "big fan of innovative healthcare companies".

Hemp not as an intoxicant, but as a medical product - the motto "medicinal cannabis" is followed by various start-ups in Germany.

They rely on the so-called CBD, which, along with the intoxicant THC, is one of the main active ingredients of the hemp plant.

Finn Hänsel and Fabian Friede founded the Sanity Group in 2018.

With the fresh capital, the expansion of the wellbeing division is to be promoted in addition to the expansion of the medical division.

The CBD lifestyle brand "VAAY" will be presented in Great Britain this week - with the kind support of the new partner Will i am.
