A 22-year-old young man involved in two burglaries in Nîmes on October 25 and November 1 was posing as a 15-year-old isolated minor,

Incarcerated since last month, he will appear this Tuesday before the Nîmes prosecutor's office.

The individual, whose identity has not been revealed, was first arrested after a burglary in an elderly person on October 25.
In front of the police, he pretends to be a 15-year-old isolated minor by giving a false identity.
The police then have no choice but to release him, because of his status as a minor.
But suspicious of his appearance, officers demand a comparison of his fingerprints.
The children's judge at the Nîmes court, before whom the burglar was presented, also requested a bone examination, which is useful in determining the age of a person.
Already condemned in Hauts-de-France
On November 1, “

”, according to our police source.
The individual is arrested again after a burglary - in the same house as before, according to local media Objectif Gard, without this being confirmed to us.
In the meantime, the young man's prints have "
matched
": he has already been sentenced in 2019 for similar facts in Hauts-de-France.
And the results of the bone examination were certified: the perpetrator is not 15 years old, but 22.

The maximum penalty for burglary, aggravated depending on the nature of the circumstances, is life imprisonment and a fine of 150,000 euros.
According to Objectif Gard, the false minor is also responsible for several assaults on vulnerable people.
