Otterfing - A 52-year-old from Munich went to the Holzkirchen autobahn police on Tuesday night with 1.8 per thousand at the wheel of his Renault Clio.
As the officials report, they checked the A8 and its side streets on Tuesday when they noticed the Munich man's car on the local road from Hofolding in the direction of Otterfing at around 10:45 p.m.
They stopped him and controlled him.
A clear alcohol odor rose from the passenger compartment of the Munich.
An alcohol test showed 1.8 per mille.
The officials forbade the driver to continue driving and ordered a blood sample.
Criminal proceedings for drunk driving were initiated against the 52-year-old.
