Deputy Head of DIP, Adv. Moshe Saada, today (Monday) filed a petition with the High Court to stop the work of the State Attorney's Search Committee. However, Judge Meni Mazuz rejected Saada's request to issue an order preventing the committee from conducting the interviews for the planned candidates. In the meantime, she announced her decision to recommend Amit Isman for the position.

Saada has been waging a long struggle against the DIP leader, the Bar Menachem Foundation.

He claims that he is being harassed, which originates from the former police commissioner Roni Alshikh, for being a loyal "gatekeeper." About two weeks ago, an article was published in Haaretz, according to which the prosecution was going to summon Saada to a hearing before dismissal, but the day before he applied. To the senior post, ostensibly to block his dismissal.

According to Saada, this is false information that was leaked by senior prosecutors to damage it.

He is asking the High Court to order Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit, who heads the State Attorney's Search Committee, to announce whether there is indeed an intention to fire Petro, and to stop the committee from convening until the ombudsman announces it.

Judge Mazuz refused to issue the order, but ordered Mandelblit to file a preliminary response to the petition by the end of the week.

The petition, the filing of which was first published in News 13, states that "during his tenure as deputy head of DIP, petitioner (Saada) was a victim of harsh, predatory conduct, and may even be criminal on the part of former police commissioner Roni Alshikh, Illegally against DIP and personally against its senior officials ... instead of defending DIP and its people and backing them up. "

It was also alleged in the petition that the then State Attorney, Adv. Shai Nitzan, chose to back up Commissioner Alshikh Because he says' escalating the quarrel now will only do good to those who want the evil of the law enforcement system.

That's enough wisdom. "

Mazuz ordered a preliminary response to the petition by the end of the week.

Advocate Oded Saborai, from the law firm of Saborai Shaham-Shavit, who represents Saada, stated that "Saada has been serving as a gatekeeper for more than 20 years, including nine years as deputy head of DIP. As part of his job, he was in charge of investigating sensitive cases. To senior officials in the police, headed by the Umm al-Hiran affair. "

Saburai claims that the system is deliberately harassing Saada.

"The State Attorney's Office abandoned DIP to protect the police during the sensitive period of the Prime Minister's investigations and the result is a systematic harassment of the restaurant system, until following his candidacy for the State Attorney's office, a senior State Attorney's Office issued a threatening WhatsApp message. He added that "in his petition, Adv. Saada recounts what is happening within the law enforcement system. This should bother any citizen whose rule of law is dear to his heart."
