The arrest of Aryeh Schiff, a 70-year-old suspect suspected of killing lightly, was extended by four days, who shot a burglar in his car in Arad.
Schiff said at a hearing to extend his detention that he regretted killing the burglar.
However, he made it clear that he did not intend to do so.
Yesterday, the police representative said that the investigators received a video in which Schiff was seen firing at the seat where the burglar was sitting, and not at the wheels of the vehicle - as he said in his first version.
"I want to express my deep sorrow that I took the life of a person unintentionally," Schiff said, adding, "I said Kaddish for the upliftment of the deceased's soul. I am very sorry for the tragic event, all my life I will have to live with the fact that I killed a person unintentionally."
