A three-year-old girl is missing in Fulda.

The police are urgently asking for information

Fulda - The nightmare of all parents: A three-year-old child sneaked out of the parental home in an unobserved moment on Monday evening around 7.30 p.m.

According to the

police,

three-year-old Timnit from

Fulda

was

last seen on Frankfurter Strasse in the Westring area (see map).

The search for the child was suspended during the night, but continued on Tuesday morning, the police said.

Extensive

search measures

with a dog team, thermal imaging cameras and a search by rubber dinghy in nearby waters have so far been

unsuccessful

.

Missing: Who saw the three-year-old from Fulda?

Anyone who can give

information

about the whereabouts of the girl is asked

 to report

 to the

police station Ostehessen

or any other

police station

on

0661 / 105-2031

.

Missed in Germany

As

missing

are in Germany adults if they have left their normal living environment, can not be found and it may, there is a danger.

Missing

Individuals are entered in the “Police Information System” (INPOL) computer.

If it is certain that the person is in

danger

or cannot help himself,

search measures

, for example with helicopters and search dogs, are initiated.

Services such as the German Red Cross or the Technical Relief Organization often also work here.

Missing: Up to 300 new cases daily in Germany

There are around 200 to 300 new

missing persons

cases

in

Germany

every day

, and the same number are classified as resolved.

For example, a young woman was

missing

in the Fulda district

but could be found safely.

Around 9,200 people are missing in Germany on March 1st, 2020, like two boys recently in

the Kassel district

who

disappeared

at a train station

but reappeared.

He was missing for ten weeks, then the sad certainty.

Around half of the cases resolve within a week.

Within a month, 80 percent of the

missing are

found.

Only 3 percent remain missing for more than a year.

That shows the statistics of the Federal Criminal Police Office on missing persons.

If a person is not found, the search will continue for 30 years.
