Joe Biden is ahead of Donald Trump by only 10,457 votes, in this state where more than 3.5 million voters have voted.

The key state of Arizona officially certified Joe Biden's US presidential victory on Monday, November 30, further cementing the Democrat's success against Donald Trump, who has yet to concede defeat.

Head of electoral operations, Arizona Democratic Secretary of State Katie Hobbs praised an election "

conducted with transparency, precision and fairness (...), despite numerous unfounded allegations to the contrary

."

Certification of results in Arizona does not necessarily mean the end of legal action, as this state allows results to be contested even after they have been validated.

Mr. Trump's campaign team has in fact tried - without success so far - to hamper the process of certification of results in key states won by Mr. Biden with legal remedies.

Among these, the last to have not yet officially validated its results is Wisconsin, whose certification was also expected on Monday.
