Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi met today (Wednesday) with Bahrain's Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism Ziad al-Ziani.
The ministers first spoke in private and then joined a working meeting with the professional teams to advance the agreements between the countries.
Some will be signed during the current visit and others will come to fruition in the coming weeks.
In a statement to the media, Ashkenazi said: "We are working and committed to implementing the agreements as soon as possible so that the residents of our countries can soon enjoy the fruits of peace we dreamed of. Each such visit is another step towards a better future for our children and the region. Freely in our countries, enjoy the beauty and charm of the State of Israel and visit the holy sites of the three religions.
"I plan to visit Manama very soon to inaugurate the Israeli Embassy in Bahrain and to continue the fruitful discourse we began today and to further promote relations between our countries and peoples," he added.
This is the second official visit of a Bahraini minister to Israel.
It will be recalled that in mid-November, Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abd al-Tif al-Ziani arrived in Israel.
