Last Monday it was the last time that the public libraries were allowed to open to the public.
This also included the Peitinger community and parish library in Klösterle.

- "There will definitely be no change by Christmas, although there is a great need for reading material", fears the library manager Margit Kees.
The library was open for ten hours on Monday.
During the entire time, Kees and her 13 mostly volunteer workers had their hands full.
The visitors stocked up on reading material: 1165 children's books, novels, biographies and non-fiction books, Tonies and DVDs were there in total that were borrowed throughout the day.
“We are all satisfied but also exhausted,” smiles Margit Kees in the evening at 6 p.m.
On other days, between 200 and 300 books and media are borrowed.

The library still had 808 registered active readers in 2019. There are now over 1000. 8142 readers had visited the library in 2019.
“This year there will be a lot more,” says Kees happily.
On Monday, Anja Rinesch was one of the bookworms who had stocked up on reading material at least until Christmas.
When it came to choosing what to read, she focused on children's books, from which she is allowed to read to her two daughters every day.
She has selected eight books for children and four for adults from the media inventory of 12,700 items.
Sandra Fischer has also stocked up on children's books such as “Liselotte is lurking”, “Conni is skiing” and “With grandma and grandpa” for her daughters Johanna (2) and Magdalena (4).
Chance Graves has selected children's books such as “Die Olchis” and “Das magische Bäumchen” for his sons Noah and Anton (2 and 4 years old).
"They are really very interesting."
