China today succeeded in landing a spacecraft on the moon on a historic mission to bring samples from its surface.
According to the Chinese news agency Xinhua that the craft landed successfully on the surface of the moon.
The Chinese National Space Agency announced yesterday that the Chinese lunar probe Chang'e 5 is preparing for a smooth landing on the moon for the first mission to collect samples from a planet outside Earth.
The Chang'e-5 mission, which was launched on Tuesday, is considered one of the most complex and challenging missions in Chinese airspace history, in addition to being the first mission to collect samples from the moon in the world for more than 40 years.
