A site fire broke out at the old Kai Tak airport.
At about 5:58 am today (December 2), a construction site at the junction of Songhuangtai Road and Chain Kai Road suddenly caught fire. It was reported that the "burning chain house" affected many houses on the site. The area of the fire was as large as two basketball courts. It was so big that thick smoke swept through the air and was clearly visible in the distance.
The firefighter rushed to the report and used a jet and a breathing apparatus team to fight the fire. The fire was generally put out at about 7:23 in the morning.
Initially, no reports of casualties have been received.
