Do recent vaccine announcements argue for a more favorable scenario?
Absolutely.
A faster than expected release of vaccines allows us to be more optimistic.
This lifts a huge veil of uncertainty.
The assumption now is that by the end of 2021 most OECD countries will be vaccinated and live more or less normally.
This also means that we will have to maintain strong public health policies, including in emerging countries.
Until we have some collective immunity, we will have to live with it
