The Acting President of the HKBU Student Union, Fang Chung-xian, was arrested by O's door this morning (2nd). He was suspected of having "possessing offensive weapons in public places", "resisting police officers who are properly performing duties" and "obstructing justice" The crime is known to be related to the case in which he purchased a laser pointer in Sham Shui Po on August 6 last year. He was taken to the Sha Tin Police Station for detention.
The police will hold a press conference at 11 am today to explain the case.
On August 6 last year, Fang Zhongxian was arrested by the police in Sham Shui Po. He felt unwell that night and was sent to hospital for treatment.
