A final year student was killed Tuesday, December 1 in the morning in Saran (Loiret) after being struck by a bus from the transport network of the Orleans agglomeration (TAO), said a police source.

The shock took place in the morning when the young man, aged 17, was crossing the street getting off a first bus, to take a second bus which was to take him to the Maurice-Genevoix high school, in Ingré.
Police said the high school student crossed the street behind the first vehicle and was struck by the oncoming bus.
The street is without a pedestrian crossing at the site of the accident.

”explained a police source. The 43-year-old bus driver was still heard in a free hearing at the beginning of the afternoon at the Orléans police station.
