In the archaeological hall of the “The Forty Martyrs” Cathedral in Homs, the diverse cultural event “The Homeland for All Its Sons”, which is being held by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese in cooperation with the National Cultural Corner Forum, kicked off today for two days.

The first day included a poetry evening with the participation of a group of poets who read many different poems that had a national character.

In an interview with Cultural SANA, “Nadim Tamer,” the patron of the “Forty Martyrs” Cathedral, pointed out the importance of these activities to enhance the presence of the creative act in our lives because with culture, nations are built.

In her turn, poet Wafa Younis, Director of the Cultural Center in Homs, pointed out that the event brought together a constellation of poets in addition to a number of talents who presented promising products.

The poet “Nabil Bakhas” shared poems in which he spoke about the martyr and the sacrifices he made, in addition to humanitarian and social poems.

The poet "Hayam Awad" read two emotional poems through which she addressed a message to the human being that exudes the philosophical thought that she presented in a simple way.

Rajab Deeb, director of the National Cultural Corner Forum in Homs, explained that the aim of the event is to spread culture on the largest scale through literary and musical activities that bring together the people of the province.

The poet “Hana Yazbek” presented two poems, the first about the martyrs and their holiness, and the greatness of what they presented to keep Syria steadfast and eternal, while the second was about the homeland and its call to its children abroad to return to its bosom.
