The automatic carpet factory in Sweida has launched a variety of its products with new patterns and shapes to meet different tastes.
In a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin, the director of the plant, Eng. Hamad Al-Shoufi, stated that the inscriptions presented are for a measure 2/3 and come within the framework of efforts to improve the reality of production and increase sales. It is also added to inscriptions that were presented three months ago.
He added that the pace of work is running on a single shift work system despite all the difficulties represented by the old looms, the many faults, the old age of workers and the shortage of manpower, indicating that the sales achieved since the beginning of the current year amounted to about 18,500 square meters with a value of more than 262 million pounds.
The automated carpet factory took off in Sweida in 1979, and it is one of the factories known in the country for the quality of its products.
