Seoul-Sana

South Korea today condemned the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, describing it as a "violent criminal act."

"The assassination of Mohsenzadeh is a crime that negatively affects peace and stability in the Middle East region," the South Korean Yonhap News Agency quoted a spokesman for the South Korean Foreign Ministry as saying, stressing Seoul's rejection of any actions that would escalate tension and affect stability in the region.

Last Friday, the Ministry of Defense and the Assignment of the Iranian Armed Forces announced the assassination of Fakhrizadeh, following a terrorist operation that he was subjected to near the capital, Tehran, while an American administration official revealed earlier that the Israeli occupation entity was behind this crime.
