Engineer Nizar Jabbour, General Manager of the Drinking Water Company in Tartous revealed that there are important projects that the corporation will implement as part of its annual investment plans in stages and over the next five years.

Jabbour pointed out in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the plan includes the implementation of a third traction line for Qadmous at a cost of more than 10 billion Syrian pounds, which will be implemented in stages. The first phase, which includes the acquisition of the station site and drilling wells at the foundation’s rig at the Deir Al-Bashel site, Banias The inventory is the Ferroukhiya sector, reaching the northwestern countryside

Al-Qadmous has the D-Nawatif sector in a Duchess. This project is considered one of the most important projects to support the governorate's countryside, starting from Amrit, south of Tartous, to Deir Al-Bashel, in the north of the governorate.

He added: The development of the Beidha project in the Banias area will be implemented in stages and at an estimated cost of 850 million pounds for the first phase, which includes the construction of a 200 mm diameter and 5 km pumping line from the resource station to the proposed al-Khuraybah tank with a capacity of 300 m3 which is under scrutiny in the Ministry of Water Resources and the contract will be made. By mutual consent to implement it with one of the public authorities.

Jabbour pointed to the importance of implementing the Na'amu Al-Jarrad project in Baniyas, which aims to improve the water situation in the villages benefiting from the project, namely, Naamo Al-Jarrad, Al-Marana, Al-Dardara, Wadi Al-Baraka, Al-Mushrifa, Ka'aba Ammar, Al-Alaiqa, Fasan Al-Ghansala, Beit Amin, Al-Shakir, Al-Farroukhiya, Bsarmoun - Elton - inventory.

He indicated that the Corporation has taken many measures to improve the water situation in those areas, starting from investing a well in the fourth station to replacing many horizontal pumping groups and electrical transformers, the last of which is linking the six project stations with an independent tension line outside of rationing at a cost of 155 million pounds, which achieved stability in the water reality in All the beneficiary villages, where work is currently underway to conclude a contract for replacing the old and frequently malfunctioning submersible pumping sets in the first and second stations with horizontal pumping groups and the dossier is under approval in the Ministry of Water Resources with a value of 114 million pounds.
