These relations have resulted in cooperation in various development fields, especially in the cultural field.”

Al-Nafeh pointed to the important role that parliamentary diplomacy plays in bringing people together and developing cooperation relations between countries.

For his part, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for the Mauritanian-Syrian Friendship, Mustafa Blah Sahib, affirmed that strengthening and strengthening relations between the two countries has been one of the foundations of the Mauritanian diplomacy for more than half a century, referring to the areas of cooperation and interdependence between the two countries in which thousands of Mauritanian students gained experience from Syrian universities.

In turn, the Chargé d'Affairs at the Syrian embassy in Nouakchott Mortada El-Gammal considered that the establishment of this committee is a reflection of the depth of the strong diplomatic relations between the two countries, indicating that work is underway at the level of the People's Assembly in Syria to establish a similar committee.
