It was after the foreign minister's statements about the conversation between Biden and Fernández, in which he did not participate and where he got into the subject of the IMF.

Alberto Fernández assured

Clarín on

Wednesday that he was "not" angry with Felipe Solá for radio statements by the Foreign Minister, considered by the President and his team as

"totally reckless."

And he pointed out that the episode "was not so serious" and that it was already closed, although it shows the mismanagement in foreign policy and the lack of coordination with the Casa Rosada.

The President spoke with Clarín after the anger inside the Casa Rosada, where they point out that there are sufficient reasons for the Chancellor to resign and for Gustavo Béliz -current Secretary of Strategic Affairs- or Jorge Argüello -Ambassador to the United States- to take office

after his remarks about the phone conversation between Fernández and Joseph Biden on Monday.

Even so, the President supports him and considers that what happened "is not so serious."

Even so, Solá knows that to the problems he already adds inside and outside the Foreign Ministry - conflicts in the internal functioning with diplomats - he comes out very "rubbled" for having made statements to

Radio con Vos

about the conversation between Biden and Fernández, in which not only did not participate, but also mixed part of what really happened in the dialogue between the President of Argentina and the President of the United States - who told him - with his personal opinions and those of the Government on the IMF's operation towards this country but that did not occur.

Solá had not even been present during the conversation because he was confused about the place and went to the Quinta de Olivos, when in reality it was at the Casa Rosada.

What exactly did Solá say on the radio Monday about the conversation between Fernández and Biden?

That the President asked him for

"the collaboration and goodwill of the director representing the United States at the IMF, because currently we are not having much luck with the current director, who must change after January 20."

This paragraph was enough for the Minister of Economy Martín Guzmán, and the Argentine representative to the IMF, Sergio Chodos, to mount an operation to demolish Solá -with the unspoken endorsement of Balcarce 50-.

Solá began to talk not only about something that he was not involved in but about what he does not know - negotiations with the Fund - they said in the Government.

And Guzmán entered the field, whom in the presidency they already describe "as a very special, difficult boy."

Then they came out to deny it and to tell "Solá's stupidity", they said.

They first spoke with the

Bloomberg

agency

,

where the president's spokesman, Juan Pablo Biondi, said that the IMF issue "was never discussed" with Biden in the context mentioned by Solá.

Later, the Presidency and Guzmán's team spoke with Infobae.

They assured him that Wall Street trader Mark Rosen - a friend of outgoing US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin - expressed his anger, and felt like a "betrayal."

Today in the Presidency they pointed out that this "was not so well", and in Economy they were upset that Solá was exceeding in his statements on issues that are not within his competence.

The truth is that the concern in Washington was that the Biden-Harris transition team had explicitly requested that specific issues

of government management

not be discussed

until after Biden took office on January 20.

Solá's sayings detonated that commitment.

In the "letter" that La Rosada spread about the conversation, the IMF is mentioned thus.

"The president highlighted his bond with the Pope, with whom he shares his friendship. Thus he conveyed the gratitude he has with Pope Francis, who has been helping him since Fernández assumed the presidency and especially in his support in the negotiations with the IMF. "

The team of the president-elect of the United States released a statement on the talk in which the Pope is mentioned but the Fund is not mentioned.

Even so, the President, for now, is not evaluating asking for the resignation, nor at the Foreign Ministry either.

But they clarified that what happened was the following:

Solá went to Quinta de Olivos in the morning to participate in the conversation between Alberto F. and Jair Bolsonaro.

But in the afternoon he

got confused and instead of going to the Casa Rosada - where the talk with Biden was going to take place - he returned to Olivos.

Obviously, the chancellor has a problem with secretaries, and with ceremonial, who do not tell him where their meetings are.

Or someone in the Presidency confuses you.

By the time he got to the Casa Rosada,

the conversation with Biden was over.

And although the foreign minister spoke with officials about it, he rushed to speak to want to mark a presence at the meeting.

He had also been very angry because the President did not invite him to his trip to Uruguay, when he visited Luis Lacalle Pou.

He was offended and Alberto himself must have made it clear that it was a meeting between presidents.

However, both the Uruguayan foreign minister and the Argentine ambassador in Montevideo were at that barbecue in Anchorena.

Solá feels alone and it shows.

The relationship with the United States is maintained by Argüello and Béliz and the relationship with China is maintained by Béliz and the Argentine embassy in Beijing: Luis María Kreckler and Sabino Vaca Narvaja.

The foreign minister has a bad relationship with the ambassador to China and this is also evident in the internal management of such a sensitive diplomatic headquarters.
