The received quantities of the beloved cotton in Al-Walid's factory in Homs reached about 3,393 tons from Deir Al-Zour farmers, while about 1,400 tons of them have been ginned since the start of their marketing early last month.

Eng. Maher Assaf, Director of Al-Walid's Ginning Company, explained to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the ginner continues operations of receiving cotton, ginning and supplying it to public and private sectors in accordance with laws and regulations, as the ginning process resulted, up to its date, about 423 tons of ginned cotton, which is supplied successively to each of the Al-Waleed spinning company in Homs and a company Gabala spinning in addition to producing 677 tons of seeds for the Homs Sugar Company, including for the production of oils. The ginning operations also resulted in fodder by-products intended for livestock.

Assaf indicated that the electric supply for the ginner was secured in cooperation and coordination with the Homs Electricity Company, after conducting the rehabilitation work for the power station and the line feeding the mill, and reinvesting it again, which speeds up the completion of the cotton ginning operations received for the current season according to the plan established by the General Organization for Ginning and Marketing Cotton, indicating that it has been done. Also contracting with 60 workers in cooperation with the Union of Pregnancy and Porter Workers in the governorate in addition to the presence of about 40 workers in the mill, according to annual work contracts.

The quantity of ginned and marketed cotton to each of the Al-Waleed Spinning and Jabla spinning companies to date reached 332 tons since the start of receiving, ginning and marketing the cotton for the current season.
