The College of Fine and Applied Arts at the University of Aleppo opened today a group exhibition that includes artworks by students from the faculty that they executed during the home quarantine period.
The exhibition titled “The Creativity of Aleppo University Students Against Corona .. Art as a Remedy” Saer Hazi, a professor at the College of Arts and the supervisor of students ’work, talked about it as an artistic activity that reflects the state of distance learning that the college applied with its students during the home quarantine period to promote a creative and distinct artistic generation Challenges the difficult circumstances, while Dr.Mohammed Berro, a professor in the Department of Visual Communication at the college, indicated that the goal of the exhibition is to get out of the state of anxiety imposed by the Corona pandemic, pointing to the importance of the distance education experience and its role in producing creative artworks for students and from the participants in the exhibition. Which she achieved through electronic learning through social media during the quarantine period, indicating that she was able to better develop her skills in the field of drawing.
Haya Ayyashi, one of the participants in the exhibition, explained the importance of distance learning so that students' creativity does not stop and they continue to develop their technical skills, while the participant Riyad Muhammad noted the benefit that he was able to gain during his follow-up to electronic lectures, which enabled him to develop his experiences and unload negative charges through drawing.
